Fighting to Make Next Year Better

First note - thanks to those of you who have shared your best tips from 2020. But we need LOTS more! So I'm going to sweeten the pot a bit, and add a prize for one lucky person who shares a tip. Details below.

We all want next year to be "better", don't we? But are we waiting for someone else to act? The "scientists"? The "governments"? The "researchers"? The "specialists"?

Of course we want better research and treatment and care - but what can we do to fight back - and fight back now - to make next year a year with fewer headaches?

Here are some of the top tips from this year. Why not take one small step to take control of your life and fight back today?

Book Notes (and the prize)

Niche diets are more the rage than ever this year, and that probably won't change in the coming year. But it seems that there are few authors willing to step out with recipes just for migraine patients.

Two notable and highly rated exceptions are below. Taking somewhat different approaches, they both aim to inspire you to fight back against migraine in the kitchen:This last one is not all about food, although it does talk about food. Maybe you're not just concerned about migraine - you're concerned about brain fog, you're concerned about dementia -- brain health in general. This is a fun and practical look at brain health which would make a great gift for anyone: The Healthy Brain Book: An All-Ages Guide to a Calmer, Happier, Sharper You: A proven plan for managing anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and preventing and reversing dementia and Alzheimer's

And now - the prize! Share your best tips from 2020 before January 7th 2021, and you'll be entered to win one of these three books (your choice) (in other words, if you've already bought one of the above, you can choose another one for your prize)! And yes - those who have already entered are included. My Christmas gift to you!

Say what?! Migraineur

Yes, migraineur is a word, and you already know what it means. Someone with migraine!

Some have objected to the term, because they don't want migraine to define them (fair enough), or because they see migraine more as a result of the modern lifestyle and less as a disease.

However, it remains a simple way to talk about migraine patients in the context of medical treatment. So feel free to use it - but only use it as someone who is fighting to control and even eliminate their attacks. :)

So what new steps are you taking in the weeks ahead?
