My Inside Outside

This is how I feel most days on the inside - in my head. Everything ... lights, sounds, feelings are intense and overwhelming, while on the outside I "look great".

Found out that daily chronic migraines can be caused by rebounding medications like; Percocet, Triptans (Imitrex, Maxalt, Relpax) also DHE 45 (Ergotomines) & OTC's like; aspirin, tylenol, advil also caffeine. The very difficult trick is to find a preventative like; Elavil or Timolol, etc. that do Not cause rebound headaches--MOH's (Medication Overuse Headaches) & use those daily, then slowly eliminate or reduce the offending medications listed above to no more than 10 doses in a 30 day period. You may need to start with steroids as a bridge when you first attempt this difficult undertaking, but it is the only way to break that rebounding cycle. My husband is in the midst of this & is improving after 20 years of constant daily migraine. Hope this is helpful to someone.

Too much already!
by: Kim

I cannot understand why for the last 20 years I have been a migraine sufferer. It is hereditary and my mom and two sisters suffer with them, as well as my son. These past few weeks, I have been suffering with daily headaches upon awakening. They last all day, even pain killers do not touch them. I have an appointment with my allergist as I am also allergic to everything.
Anbody else every experience this.

In my head
by: Anonymous

It is difficult becoz you don't receive any support. It's lonely & at times frightening. My face is numb almost all the time. I'm nauseous & dizzy on a daily basis. I can't afford to get tired or eat anything I shouldn't. I try to be grateful when I see others with bad health. But this is tough too! And I can't allow my work colleagues to see how much I struggle - I need my work!!!
