Mine's prettier than your's

My first one ever. It was in constant motion with the chevrons dancing side to side. Lasted 20 minutes, no headache at all. I recently ripped two out of the four tendons in my rotator cuff.... probably not related but again my first one and I'm 62.

Cause and Effect
by: Lynn

My aura's are like this except like others without the color. Usually come on when I start having congestion or sinus heaviness. I get the aura's that sometimes come with a headache, like today. I have had migraines my entire life as my brother and sister do also. Mine tend to come on more often and I also have a PFO that from reading people with PFO commonly have migraines.
I use to be on zomig and take staduaul (SP Sorry) a drug you shut up your nose and it knocked you out but it also cause terrible dreams and is addictive. I do not take anything anymore as they are less frequent then when I was younger, I am now 56.

Today I am working and just out of the blue there is this heaviness and then the aura come on, I usually take ibuprofen right away as I usually can only see half of anything during this. I know have the heaviness and a slight headache but sensitive to light.

I think we just make due because what choice to we have. I am just thankful I rarely get the debilitating ones anymore. Although I still hate the aura's that I get more frequently these days.

CHEVRONS
by: Anonymous

"Chevrons" is a very good word for those shapes. I've gone through all these migraine art pieces and have found, like this one... the extreme similarity between about six or seven of them.

Perfect example!
by: Jeanette

My first aura was exactly like that, minus the color. I explain it as static on the television so it's more silver, black, and white. Then it moves to my peripheral vision so I can't see above or below me, then it goes to the sides. After that the headache kicks in. I recently have had little dots of these "auras" all throughout my migraine time, not only the beginning. It's strange.

Real
by: Emma

Your picture reminds me of my typical migraine aura, but not because of the shape or colors. It is because it is something that is so brilliant, so real to all us migraine sufferers, and no one else can see it! People act like you're crazy for seeing the aura patterns, but until they experience it, your picture is a really good representation of the experience for them to understand.

Fascinating
by: James

Thanks for sharing this. It's fascinating how the visual aura in so many people is so different, and yet often shares similarites.
